We offer a 21st Century Education program made for today's generation of eager learners.

It should be the goal of education to learn not only about foundational academics but also about who God made us.  What are areas of strength and challenge?  What are their passions and God-given talents, and how can they contribute to the world around them purposefully, compassionately, and in a strong way?  We encourage our Lions to be their best selves every day while focusing on the Fruits of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control in congruent with Habits of Mind such as grit, determination, perseverance, growth mindset, initiative, and productivity.

We provide a genuinely unique method of teaching. We go beyond the conventional teaching methods of lectures, assignments, high-stakes tests, and grades by utilizing the most recent advances in cognitive science and technology. Our students at Vandermont receive their education in mixed-age, collaborative classrooms where their age does not limit their capabilities. With learning plans just for them, each learner is given a challenge by our adaptable approach, and real-world projects and experiences inspire them.

Learners develop the ability to create and attain their own goals while fostering independence of thinking and enthusiasm for learning. They focus on discovering who they are and what will best prepare them for life in the real world. Success isn't measured by grades but rather by how hard people strive to achieve their personal goals and the growth that is taking place. We want kids to be kids and grow into upstanding young adults while empowering them to take charge of their learning and lead confident and purposeful lives!
