If, after reviewing our website and researching Vandermont, you feel we could be the place for your family and you would like to initiate the admission process, please follow the steps below.

Our admissions process identifies learners who will benefit from Vandermont's unique model.  Unfortunately, not all students who apply will be accepted. Each application is reviewed independently. Admission decisions consider the student's potential contribution to the collaborative efforts of his/her age level and the school as a whole.

ADMISSION STEPS

We are accepting applications for the 2024-2025 school year! We look forward to getting to know you and your family!

SCHEDULE A TOUR/INFORMATION SESSION AND FILL OUT AN INQUIRY FORM

Please fill out the Inquiry Form. The tour date selections are in this form.

If possible, we prefer both parents attend so that all questions are answered thoroughly and everyone is gaining true insight about Vandermont.

COMPLETE YOUR FORMAL ENTRY

After touring and gaining helpful information, the next step would be to fill out an application here: Apply, and follow the steps to create your account. After submitting the application, you can track your admissions process online by logging into your account. You will monitor and add the additional forms and requirements to the checklist.

Please follow the checklist to provide the required information for our processes, such as school records, test scores, and what you feel will help us understand your child’s learning journey thus far. Assessments are informal and are just a piece of the whole process we evaluate in the admissions process. Children entering Kinder and 1st will have a play session to observe social skills and academic readiness. Students entering 2nd grade and up will have various age-appropriate play-based, interview style, ISEE assessments, and writing samples. We also will have them shadow in the classroom to experience our environment. Please plan for 30 minutes for your interview at the end of the day before picking up your child on the shadow visit day. We will try to make the process as easy as possible, but we will want to get to know each other well enough to make sure we are good fits for each other.  APPLICANTS WON'T BE CONSIDERED UNTIL ALL ITEMS ON THE CHECKLIST HAVE BEEN SUBMITTED.

DECISIONS- INVITATIONS EXTENDED & REGISTER/PAY

We will review all information from the submitted checklist. Admissions decisions are released in late spring.  If an invitation to join our program is extended, you will get an email with a link to begin the enrollment process to secure your child(ren)'s spot(s).  Spots are limited in our program, and we carefully and prayerfully consider each candidate but can not accept everyone. Thank you for understanding.
